Michelstadt (dpa/lhe) - The police arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with a fire in an apartment building in Michelstadt in southern Hesse. The fire broke out in a ground floor apartment on Thursday, a police spokeswoman said on Friday. No one was injured, and all residents of the house could have gotten to safety in time.
The fire department was able to extinguish the fire quickly. According to the spokeswoman, witnesses said that a man ran out of the house. The police then arrested the 49-year-old. The man was "arrested in connection with the fire," said the spokeswoman, and further information from the police and public prosecutor's office was to follow during the course of the day.
