Viernheim (dpa/lhe) - In an accident involving several vehicles, five people were injured on the A67 near Viernheim. The alleged perpetrator fled, as the police announced on Monday. The driver first overtook another on the right on Sunday evening, then switched to the left and braked the car to around 50 kilometers per hour. Another driver overlooked this. His vehicle crashed into the car in front of him. A total of three other vehicles were pushed into each other, the police reported.
One person was seriously injured in the accident and four others were slightly injured and taken to nearby hospitals. The police are looking for witnesses who can provide information about the black Audi whose driver is said to have caused the traffic accident.
