Büdingen/Gründau (dpa/lhe) - A man threatened a train attendant with a knife during a train journey. As the federal police announced on Wednesday, the unknown person boarded the regional train at Büdingen station (Wetteraukreis) on Tuesday morning. When the ticket was checked, he therefore presented an electronic ticket that was not issued in his name. The train attendant noticed the attempted fraud and announced to the man that he would hand over the ticket to the federal police.

The stranger then took a knife out of his pocket and pointed it in the direction of the employee. The conductor fled into the conductor's cabin. According to the information, the stranger knocked on the cabin door several times with the knife and asked for his e-ticket back. The stranger finally got out at Gründau station (Main-Kinzig district), and the police are now looking for witnesses.
