'I can't look': Liam Neeson finds sex scenes embarrassing

Hollywood star Liam Neeson is known from his films as a tough action hero who can take on the most dangerous organizations in the world. It is not uncommon for a woman to be involved. But the Irish actor can't do anything with sex scenes.

Action star Liam Neeson has revealed he hates watching sex scenes. "I want to be honest, when I see a sex scene I just can't look," the 70-year-old told Vanity Fair in an interview. That was "simply embarrassing," he said as a reason. "I know they're choreographed and stuff, but I don't need to see that." In practice, he doesn't like the genre either: "I've already shot a few sex scenes and I would have preferred to leave it to the imagination, especially with the women, the actresses," the Hollywood star continued. His conclusion: "I don't like doing them."

Neeson is apparently also increasingly concerned with the keyword "uncomfortable" at the moment: Neeson sees the conversation about bees and flowers with his 26-year-old son Daniel as the "most embarrassing moment" he has ever experienced. On "Watch What Happens Live," however, father and son disagreed on just how embarrassing it really was to talk openly about sex. Daniel didn't see it as the "most embarrassing moment" at least, but admitted it was "pretty weird".

How strange it will be to see Liam Neeson in a comedy role may soon become apparent. When asked about his potential involvement in a Naked Gun reboot, Neeson told Vanity Fair, "It's not a done deal yet." But "Seth MacFarlane is working on the script and Akiva Schaffer is writing and directing".

"So we'll wait and see," said the action icon. "Doing comedy will be the end of my career or it will reach a new level," he predicted. With MacFarlane's "A Million Ways to Die in the West" he was at least involved in a comedy in 2014, but he also played a more serious role there.

The Irish actor also spoke to the magazine about a milestone in his career: his 100th film. Neeson plays Raymond Chandler's legendary detective, Philip Marlowe, in the noir crime thriller Marlowe. "Honestly, I feel old and incredibly lucky," the action star said during a special screening of "Marlowe" in New York. "I was lucky. I'll never forget that. I also know that I also created my own happiness."
