Lebanese Hezbollah and its Shiite party ally, the Amal movement, announced the death of six of their members on Friday April 5 in Israeli bombings in southern Lebanon, near the border with Israel.

On Friday, the Amal movement, led by the President of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, announced that three of its members had also been killed.
According to the Lebanese National News Agency (ANI), three people were killed in an Israeli strike on an Amal center in Jdeidet Marjayoun, in southern Lebanon, about ten kilometers from the border, and two others in a similar strike on the border town of Aïta El-Chaab.
“Military complex” of the Amal movement
In a statement, the Israeli army announced that it had bombed “a military compound of the Amal Movement” in which several of its fighters were located “in the Marjayoun region”. “Throughout the war, the Amal movement operated against the State of Israel and was planning to carry out an additional attack on Israeli territory in recent days,” the statement added.
The army, which announced that it had targeted several regions of southern Lebanon, also said that it had “identified a terrorist carrying out an observation activity using a drone in order to carry out launches towards northern Israel.” , adding that he “sent a plane that hit” the fighter, without specifying the exact location.
For his part, Avichay Adraee, a spokesperson for the Israeli army, declared on platform X that the air force had bombed Hezbollah infrastructures including “a military building in Aïta El-Chaab”. .
“Let no one be in a hurry.”
In a televised speech Friday, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah warned of an Iranian response to the strike attributed to Israel against the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital, Damascus, in which several members of the Revolutionary Guards were killed. Iran immediately accused Israel, which did not confirm its responsibility.
“Be sure and certain that the Iranian response to the strike on the consulate in Damascus is inevitable,” he declared in this intervention, on the occasion of “Jerusalem Day”, which is held every last Friday of the Ramadan in solidarity with the Palestinians and against Israel. “Where, how, when and what scale of the response will be, we are not required to ask,” he added, believing that the decision was up to Tehran. “Let no one be in a hurry,” he said again.
According to the leader of the pro-Iranian party, the strike on the consulate constitutes “a turning point” in the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip which has pitted Israel and Hamas for almost six months. Seven Iranian soldiers, including two high-ranking officers, were killed in this strike, as well as a Hezbollah fighter.
Hezbollah 'does not fear war'
Hassan Nasrallah also said that Hezbollah “does not fear war and is fully prepared for any war” against Israel. “We have not yet employed our main weapons, nor brought out our main forces” in battle, he warned, adding that “Israel will regret any war launched against Lebanon.”
Hassan Nasrallah repeated that Hezbollah would stop its attacks when the war “stops in Gaza”, ruling out the possibility of an agreement that several Western emissaries are trying to negotiate for an end to violence between the Lebanese Islamist movement and Israel.
At least 356 people have been killed in Lebanon, including 235 Hezbollah fighters, 15 Amal fighters, but also at least 68 civilians, in exchanges of fire for almost six months, according to a count by Agence France-Presse . In northern Israel, bordering southern Lebanon, ten soldiers and eight civilians were killed according to the army.
