LOC María Casado recalls in Las Tres Puertas that she was about to be a victim of the Hipercor attack

La 2 issued a new installment of Las Tres Puertas on Wednesday, March 22. María Casado, presenter of the format, revealed that she was about to be a victim of the Hipercor attack, perpetrated by ETA on June 19, 1987 in Barcelona.

The journalist interviewed Irene Villa and shared her experience. "In 1987 I lived very close to Hipercor and that afternoon the whole family was going to go shopping. My grandmother, my mother, my aunt, my cousins and I were going to go. In fact, my uncle went to work thinking that we were all there," he said.

"We got rid of it, do you know why? Because my aunt had a tummy ache. When she finished eating, something made her sick and she told my mother 'let's leave it for another day'. My poor uncle, the afternoon what happened until he found us," added the host of the format.

Villa spoke about his experience after being the victim of an ETA attack with his mother in 1991. "Everyone is surprised at forgiveness and I think it is precisely because they have not let rancor enter. Once rancor enters, hatred and anger settle in your heart. Thanks to that we forgive," he said. "There is no other way. Either forgive or suffer," she added.

The guest also recounted that, when she suffered the attack, they took her to a different hospital than the one where her mother was, so she thought that her daughter had died. "When he found out what had happened to me, he said 'daughter, here you have to forgive'. He gave me two options: curse the terrorists or decide that your life begins today. If your life begins today, rancor is a much greater burden than some titanium legs. I said 'mom, you are absolutely right. I was born without legs and I forgive to live'", he commented.

At one point in the interview, Villa congratulated Casado on her pregnancy. The presenter will be the mother of a girl with Martina diRosso. "What happiness, María, what joy. A new life," she said.

"There are three of us here. You, me and Daniela. We'll tell him. Malagueña on the way," Casado replied. "You'll see what a powerful malagueña. How happy I am for you, how wonderful. This is indeed a gift of life", added Villa.
