M6 keeps its frequency on DTT

Exit Xavier Niel and "SIX", his generalist channel project which wanted to "bring more to viewers, more to creation, and more to public debate". The Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom, ex-CSA) decided on Wednesday February 22 to entrust M6 with the frequency it historically occupies and whose authorization expires on May 5 next.

From May 6 and for ten years, the channel chaired by Nicolas de Tavernost will continue to appear in sixth place on the DTT service roster.

SIX, if it had been selected, would not have been able to present a full service before September 19, had warned the team gathered around Xavier Niel (individual shareholder of Le Monde), on February 15 before the Arcom.
