Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: autopsy: woman in Schwerin died of cuts and stitches

Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The motive for the violent death of a 42-year-old woman in Schwerin is still unclear even after the autopsy of the dead. As a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office said on Wednesday, the woman from Schwerin died on Sunday evening from a combination of stab and cut injuries. That was the result of the forensic examination of the woman. After evaluating the forensic findings, the accusation of manslaughter against the woman's 44-year-old partner remains. The spokeswoman declined to provide details of the injuries due to the ongoing investigation.

The man is said to have stabbed his partner with a knife after a dispute on Sunday evening in the shared apartment in the Großer Dreesch prefabricated building district. Neighbors heard a loud argument and called the police. The officers found the dead man, arrested the 44-year-old and also secured the alleged murder weapon there. The suspect did not provide any information about the allegations during the presentation to the magistrate in the presence of a lawyer, the public prosecutor said.

The District Court of Schwerin had issued an arrest warrant against the partner on Monday. After the evaluation of further investigations, he would be heard again about the allegations, it said.
