Rostock (dpa / mv) - The district court of Rostock wants to announce the verdict in the process of an unusual bank robbery in Rerik (Rostock district) on Tuesday (12.00 p.m.). The 46-year-old defendant is accused of serious extortion robbery. He had confessed at trial to committing the robbery in August 2022, a day after his release from prison. The man threatened an employee with a knife and punches, although she had no access to any cash.
A colleague of the woman finally gave the man 120 euros from his own pocket, with which the perpetrator fled again by bike. The police caught the man a little later. Prosecutors have asked for six years in prison for the accused. The defense hopes for a lighter sentence, but has not filed a specific criminal complaint. The affected bank employees still have to seek psychological help.
