Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Interior Minister hopes for digital culture change in administration

Schwerin (dpa / mv) - Interior Minister Christian level (SPD) hopes that the new generation of civil servants will initiate a cultural change in the authorities. "Administration, as we know it from online shopping, surfing, communicating, will become more user-friendly. I am counting on you, who grew up with smartphones and tablets, to take this experience with you to your future jobs and to cultural change in the administration," said the state minister on Thursday.

He spoke at the farewell to 89 bachelor students in the "Public Administration" course and 48 administrative economists at the University of Applied Sciences in Güstrow. From October, they should start their work in the state and municipal authorities and drive forward digitization there.

Level also promoted the civil service, which is an important task that serves the common good. In addition, the administration offers an incredibly diverse range of activities. According to the information, 84 new students and trainees will start in Güstrow on Friday, and there will also be 53 candidates who will be sent to the university of applied sciences by the municipalities.
