Rostock (dpa / mv) - A male orangutan baby was born in the Darwineum, the home of the great apes in Rostock Zoo, almost two weeks ago. 18-year-old mother Hsiao-Ning and her cub are now out and about in the indoor and outdoor enclosure. Visitors can watch as the two monkeys cuddle and fool around.

The baby's father is the male orangutan Sabas (18), who lives in a group with the females Hsiao-Ning and Cantik (10) and the young Niah (4) and LinTang (4). The baby is already the sixth orangutan offspring in the Darwineum, which opened in 2012.
