Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Police: 2800 demonstrators against high energy prices

Stralsund (dpa/mv) - According to the police, around 2,800 people demonstrated against high energy prices in Stralsund on Wednesday evening. Among other things, speakers called for the introduction of the gas price cap for private households as early as January and not only from March 2023. They also called for the Russian war against Ukraine to be ended through diplomacy. The sanctions must stop. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been called a warmonger who allegedly called for a nuclear first strike by the West against Russia.
