The jackpot for Monday's drawing is estimated at $670 million.

Saturday night's numbers were: 28, 38, 42.47, 47.47 and 52. The Powerball was 1.

Thanks to 40 consecutive draws without a grand-prize winner, the Powerball jackpot has steadily climbed. This is a record streak that dates back to June 5, a record for the game. Since Jan. 20, when a $731.1million prize was won, there has not been a larger Powerball jackpot. The $635 million grand prize on Saturday would have been , the 10th largest U.S. lotto jackpot.

To increase interest and quickly grow prizes, Powerball drawings have been held three days a week since Aug. 23. Each Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday are drawn at 10:59 PM EDT.

The long odds that you will win the Jackpot have not changed. They are one in 292.2 millions.

The jackpot amount is based on winners who choose to receive an annuity for a period of 29 years. Cash is preferred by most winners, and Monday's draw would see an estimated $474.8 Million before taxes.

Powerball can be played in 45 states, plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S Virgin Islands.
