North Rhine-Westphalia: 14-year-old hits father with the car: seriously injured

Wuppertal (dpa / lnw) - A 14-year-old hit his father with the car in Wuppertal and seriously injured him. The boy probably wanted to help his father change the wheel on Saturday afternoon and reversed the car a bit, a spokesman for the Wuppertal police said on Sunday. He then lost control of the car and drove into adjacent bushes, hitting another car and his 59-year-old father. One of his legs and torso got under the vehicle and had to be freed by the fire brigade. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but his life is not in danger. The son was in shock.
