Wuppertal (dpa / lnw) - A trial about the death of an 82-year-old began on Thursday before the Wuppertal district court with a confession. His neighbor had repeatedly insulted him over the years, the accused said at the start on Thursday. On the evening of the crime, he went to him and stabbed the neighbor with a kitchen knife. The public prosecutor's office assumes that the 59-year-old suffers from schizophrenia and calls for admission to a psychiatric ward. Because of his illness, the German defendant is said to have accused the victim of having an affair with his wife.
According to the indictment, the 59-year-old had argued with his wife before the crime and accused her of having an affair. According to the investigation, he then kicked in the neighbor's apartment door and stabbed the sleeping man 15 times. According to the accused, the victim was sitting in front of the television at the time of the crime and was not sleeping.
