Dortmund/Hagen (dpa/lnw) - A man armed with a knife is said to have knocked an 18-year-old to the ground in Dortmund's main train station and fled. With the help of video material, the federal police determined the escape route of the 19-year-old and arrested the accused in Hagen Central Station, as the officials announced on Sunday. The attacker is said to have hit his opponent in the head with his fist early on Saturday morning and held a pocket knife in the other hand.

The 18-year-old fell to the ground immediately and hit his head. After witnesses provided first aid, he was taken to a hospital with a laceration. The background is still unclear, said a spokesman for the federal police.
