North Rhine-Westphalia: Brothers hit by a car and seriously injured

Situation (dpa / lnw) - Two brothers aged eight and eleven were hit by a car in the Lippe district and seriously injured. The children wanted to cross the street on foot and came out from behind parked cars, the police said on Thursday. Despite braking, a car could no longer prevent the collision with the children. The two boys were taken to the hospital. According to the police, a rescue helicopter was also deployed after the accident on Wednesday evening.
