North Rhine-Westphalia: Burning bus damages gardens and facades

Bonn (dpa / lnw) - A burning bus has damaged several gardens and buildings in Bonn. The driver was able to leave the articulated bus unharmed on Monday evening, the fire brigade said on Tuesday. There were no other passengers in the vehicle. The fire broke out in the rear and, according to the information, spread to the entire bus during the extinguishing measures. The heat of the flames caused damage to neighboring gardens and building facades. The fire brigade was deployed with around 30 forces. A technical defect may have been the cause of the fire, a police spokesman said in the morning.
