North Rhine-Westphalia: car driver collides with cars and is seriously injured

Wesel (dpa / lnw) - A 65-year-old driver was critically injured in an accident with three other cars near Wesel. For reasons that are still unclear, the man lost control of his car on Tuesday afternoon and got into oncoming traffic, the police said. There he first collided with the car of a 50-year-old before he rammed the car of a 46-year-old. Then he collided head-on with a van belonging to a 30-year-old. The 65-year-old was taken to a clinic with life-threatening injuries, the three other people involved in the accident suffered minor injuries and all had to be taken to hospitals.
