North Rhine-Westphalia: control because of dog: man drives inspector

Cologne (dpa / lnw) - In order to escape a check, a driver in Cologne hit an employee of the security service. The 34-year-old fell over the hood and was taken to a clinic with minor injuries, the police said on Wednesday. The background to the inspection on Monday was the suspicion that a Doberman puppy in the back seat of the car had freshly cropped ears. In this practice, parts of the ears are cut off, it is forbidden in Germany.

After a brief exchange of words with two employees of the office, the man pulled his car out of a parking space and hit the officer standing in front of the car. He fled, but the police know the number plate and its description. He is being investigated on suspicion of dangerous intervention in road traffic.
