Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) - There is a clear increase in burglaries, and there was a record in ATM blasts: NRW Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) will report today (10.30 a.m.) on the development of crime in North Rhine-Westphalia over the past year.
The year before, crime had fallen to its lowest level since 1985 and the number of crimes recorded had fallen for the sixth consecutive year. The clearance rate rose to 53.6 percent and was the second best that had ever been recorded for NRW.
