Essen (dpa / lnw) - The week in North Rhine-Westphalia starts with mild and mostly sunny autumn weather. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), regional frost near the ground is possible at night and on Wednesday night it will probably cool down to -1 degrees in the mountains.

Monday will be sunny first and then increasingly cloudy in the afternoon. In some areas, rain is also possible, according to the DWD. Temperatures climb to 17 to 20 degrees and 13 to 16 degrees at high altitudes. In the night to Tuesday it cools down to 6 to 2 degrees. According to the DWD, Tuesday and Wednesday will be free of precipitation and clear with maximum temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees and 11 to 12 degrees in the higher mountains.
