Essen (dpa / lnw) - At the weekend, people in North Rhine-Westphalia can expect mild and mostly clear weather. On Friday, maximum temperatures between 12 and 16 degrees will be reached, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Essen in the morning. With a mix of sun and clouds it should stay dry. According to the DWD forecast, temperatures will drop to between 6 and -1 degrees on Saturday night. Ground frost is expected, especially in the Eifel and Sauerland regions.
For Saturday and Sunday, the DWD experts expect slightly cloudy or sunny skies and maximum values of up to 16 degrees. During the night, temperatures are expected to fall further to around freezing point, with ground frost possible locally.
