North Rhine-Westphalia: Passer saves 28-year-olds from a burning car

Warendorf (dpa / lnw) - A driver was seriously injured in an accident in Warendorf-Velsen. A passer-by freed the 28-year-old from his burning car, with which he had previously crashed into a tree, a police spokesman said on Saturday. The man had left the road with his car on Friday evening for reasons that have not yet been clarified. After the impact, the vehicle landed on its side and caught fire. The driver was taken to a hospital by ambulance. The newspaper "Westfälische Nachrichten" had previously reported on the accident.
