North Rhine-Westphalia: police car captures pedestrians: woman seriously injured

Euskirchen (dpa / lnw) - On the night of Sunday on the way to an operation in Euskirchen, a police officer hit a man and a woman with the patrol car. The 20-year-old woman was seriously injured and still in the hospital, the 22-year-old man had already been released, the Bonn police said on Monday.

The police had therefore been reported a brawl with a good 20 people on the premises of a gas station. At the same time, a robbery alarm was received for the gas station. When the 30-year-old policeman drove onto the gas station site, according to initial investigations, he avoided another patrol car and caught the two pedestrians.

Whether they were involved in the reported altercation has yet to be determined. The police car finally crashed into a gas pump, the driver was not injured. For reasons of neutrality, the Bonn police took over the investigation.
