North Rhine-Westphalia: stones thrown at trains - federal police are investigating

Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - Unknown perpetrators threw stones from a bridge at trains entering Dortmund Central Station. First, two panes of an ICE without passengers were probably damaged by a stone thrown during the journey from the ICE plant to the main station, the federal police said on Monday. The train then continued on Sunday evening with the windows taped up. A short time later, a regional train from Münster, which also had passengers, was thrown at with stones. A witness is said to have heard a loud bang before the window shattered. The regional train was then taken out of service.

According to police, no one was injured. The police used a helicopter to search for the perpetrators without success. An investigation has been launched and the police are looking for witnesses.
