Investigations led to an 18-year-old from Duisburg, as the police announced on Thursday. On December 9, the district court in Duisburg issued a search warrant for his apartment at the request of the public prosecutor. According to the information, the crime clothing could be secured there. The suspect known to the police was not on site, but turned himself in on the same day.
In the clash between two groups of young people at the beginning of December, the 17-year-old was critically injured by stabbing. He underwent emergency surgery and survived. A 15-year-old was also slightly injured in the incident in the area of the huge CentrO shopping area. The suspects had fled.
