Cologne (dpa / lnw) - The police cordoned off areas at Cologne Central Station on Thursday afternoon. The reason was an "object" that "cannot be clearly assigned," said a spokesman for the federal police. "We currently have the appropriate forces on site," added the spokesman. They are concerned with ruling out a possible "danger" of the object. What it was exactly was initially unclear.
The train tweeted that there was a police operation in the area of Cologne Central Station. "Section closed. Trains are waiting at suitable stations," the tweet said. Delays and partial cancellations are possible.
