Dresden (dpa / sn) - In a Dresden youth hostel, 43 guests suddenly fell ill on Tuesday evening. As a fire brigade spokesman said, 10 emergency services from the fire brigade and rescue service had to take care of the people suffering from diarrhea and vomiting. Initially, the 38 members of a youth group from Rhineland-Palatinate and their three supervisors had symptoms. Two other visitors to the youth hostel were also affected shortly afterwards.
According to the spokesman, one person had to be taken to the hospital. The condition of the other victims could have been stabilized as far as possible. Health, veterinary and food control authorities are now investigating what caused the sudden illness.
