Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - Trabi, Wartburg, Volga and Co.: Around 1500 vehicles from GDR and Eastern European production came together at the 23rd Ost-Mobile Meeting in Magdeburg at the weekend. There were two or more drivers and passengers per vehicle, so that the number of participants was around 3500 to 4000, as Frank Schuster from the organizing association IFA Friends Saxony-Anhalt said on Sunday after a joint trip.
Despite thunderstorm warnings, the weather remained on the side of the Ost-Mobil friends. There was no rain, there was only a gust of wind, which whirled up a lot of dust around the rarities from the years 1946 to 1991 in the Elbauenpark, said Schuster.
