Leipzig (dpa/sn) - In Leipzig, people can once again say goodbye to the late British Queen Elizabeth II. The German-British Society in Leipzig announced on Friday that a book of condolences will be available in the partner city quarter in the Europahaus until mid-December. Entries can be made every Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by prior appointment.
On the eve of the Queen's funeral, there was a thanksgiving service in Leipzig's Nikolaikirche, where the book of condolences was on display. "Many people who could not come to the service would like to have the opportunity again to formulate words of remembrance and to express their condolences to the royal family," said Ute Elisabeth Gabelmann, chairwoman of the society. The Queen died on September 8th at the age of 96.
