Saxony: Customs confiscated counterfeit textiles worth millions

Dresden (dpa/sn) - Customs confiscated counterfeit branded textiles worth millions during truck controls on Autobahn 4. As the main customs office in Dresden announced on Monday, the goods were discovered during controls in August and September. In the first case, 13,000 T-shirts, 3,900 training jackets and 2,800 sweaters were seized. The original value of the goods was 1.5 million euros. In the second case, more than 9,500 pairs of sneakers with an estimated value of 1.7 million euros were found. Investigations were underway into the background of the counterfeiting.
