Saxony: cyclists hit by the car and seriously injured

Chemnitz (dpa / sn) - A 69-year-old cyclist was hit by a car in Chemnitz and seriously injured. The man was cycling on Zwickauer Straße in the Kaßberg district on Tuesday when he was hit by a turning car, the police said on Thursday. According to this, a 72-year-old driver wanted to turn right at a traffic light on Zwickauer Straße and hit the 69-year-old for an initially unknown reason. The cyclist was taken to a hospital. The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
