Saxony: Deadline for proof of measles vaccination ends on Sunday

Dresden (dpa / sn) - The deadline for the obligation to provide proof of a vaccination against measles for employees in kindergartens, schools or medical facilities ends this Sunday. A refusal could result in a ban on entry or activity, as the Saxon health department announced on Friday. Proof of adequate vaccination protection against measles, immunity or a certificate stating that vaccination is not possible for medical reasons must be submitted.

If this does not happen, the management of the facility must inform the respective health department within two weeks. If, despite the request, no proof is submitted within a corresponding period, the health department can, at its own discretion, issue a ban on entry or activity.

All employees who worked in the above-mentioned facilities before March 1, 2020 are affected by the obligation to provide proof. All others had to submit proof of vaccination protection against measles before the start of the care or activity.
