Dresden (dpa/sn) - The state of Saxony is looking for initiatives, companies and associations that are particularly committed to the integration of migrants. Applications and suggestions are still possible until October 3rd, as the Ministry of Social Affairs announced on Monday. "Every solidary commitment contributes to the cohesion of our society," said Social Minister Petra Köpping (SPD).
Outstanding work that makes a special contribution to social cohesion should be recognized and made visible, emphasized Geert Mackenroth, Saxony's Commissioner for Foreigners. The awards are to be presented on November 14 as part of a ceremony in the plenary hall of the Saxon state parliament. Three prizewinners will be chosen. You will receive 3000 euros each.
