Saxony: Man steals vans and builds an accident

Crimmitschau (dpa/sn) - A 64-year-old man stole a van in Crimmitschau in the Zwickau district and about an hour and a half later caused an accident with it. The 64-year-old stole the car from a construction site on Tuesday morning, the police said on Wednesday. Then the man drove onto the A4, where he had an accident between Meerane and Glauchau. In addition to the stolen car, a truck was also damaged. Shortly after the accident, the police arrested the 64-year-old on federal highway 93. The police have not yet been able to provide more details about the accident. The man is being investigated in summary proceedings.
