Saxony: State parliament starts final deliberations on the double budget

Dresden (dpa/sn) - The Saxon state parliament will start on Monday (10.00 a.m.) with the final deliberations on the double budget for the years 2023 and 2024. First, the individual budgets of the respective departments will be discussed and decided. The final vote will follow on Tuesday afternoon. With a total volume of just over 49 billion euros, it is the Free State's largest budget to date. In essence, it can be summed up in the terms "more jobs, more investments and no debt". According to Finance Minister Hartmut Vorjohann (CDU), the budget ensures that many projects can be advanced.
