Leipzig (dpa / sn) - A deliverer is said to have taken items from numerous packages and sold them on. Police officers caught the 32-year-old red-handed on Monday on the premises of a shipping service provider, the police said on Tuesday. An automotive company had previously reported to the authorities that packages had not been delivered or had only been partially delivered.
According to the information, undelivered items were offered for sale via online portals. When searching the man's apartment and a rented storage box, the officers found more than 300 items. The damage caused is currently estimated at 30,000 euros. The investigators became aware of the man by questioning witnesses, it said.
