Saxony: Warning strike at Deutsche Bank's service subsidiary

Schkeuditz (dpa/sn) - At a service subsidiary of Deutsche Bank in Schkeuditz, the Verdi union has called for a warning strike. As Verdi announced, Keba employees will stop working on Monday and Tuesday to protest for better pay. According to Verdi, Keba, with its approximately 500 employees, is part of Deutsche Bank's back office, where accounts and credit cards, among other things, are processed. "The two-day strike will have an impact on service processing," it said on Monday.

Verdi calls for an increase in the starting hourly wage from 12 to 15 euros for the employees and corresponding increases in the further salary brackets. In addition, the annual bonus should increase to a full thirteenth salary. A Verdi spokesman said that the offers that the employers had so far submitted in the collective bargaining negotiations were not sufficient.

The employees are to gather on Tuesday at 10.30 a.m. in front of the Keba office building in Schkeuditz for the rally.
