Space travel: First European completes ISS field mission

Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti was the first European woman to complete a multi-hour field mission on the International Space Station ISS. Live images from the US space agency Nasa showed on Thursday how the Italian and her Russian colleague Oleg Artemyev were making repairs at the outpost of mankind. Cristoforetti wore a space suit with blue stripes, Artemyev a space suit with red stripes. For Artemyev it was already the sixth spacewalk. They ended their mission after a little over seven hours.
