The Union parties and the Greens have increased their lead over the SPD in the polls. In the weekly Sunday trend of the opinion research company Insa for the "Bild am Sonntag", the CDU and CSU come to 27 percent and the Greens to 23 percent - each one percentage point more than in the previous week. The approval for the SPD, however, fell by one point to 18 percent.
The AfD increased by one point to twelve percent in the Sunday trend, the FDP remained unchanged at eight percent, the left at five percent. The other parties would collectively receive nine percent of the votes. Insa surveyed 1501 citizens from July 18th to 22nd.
