The Royal Family Juan Carlos I and the Infanta Elena arrive at the port after almost four hours of navigation

The Infanta Elena traveled to Galicia this Saturday to meet her father in Sanxenxo. Don Juan Carlos's daughter traveled to the local marina at the same time as him, both in two different cars, and accompanied him on the jetty while he got on the Bribón, the boat with which he competes in the XXIV Hotel Regatta Charles I Silgar.

Upon the arrival of the former head of state at the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo, more than 200 people were waiting on the breakwater to see and greet him from a distance. Despite the high public expectations, the reception was watered down, with just a few soft applause and a couple of cheers for "Long live the King." The scene was similar when he arrived in the car and when, ten minutes later, he descended the access stairs to the jetty and got on the Bribón.

The presence of the Infanta Elena was one of the most commented details among those present and she herself acquired a leading role and was in charge of taking a group photo of the entire Bribón team before getting on the ship. Later, she herself posed for another similar photo.

Don Juan Carlos arrived at the Sanxenxo Yacht Club at 12:21 p.m., in the passenger seat of the vehicle of his friend and host, Pedro Campos. They came from Nanín's house where he is staying, from which they left a few minutes before. His daughter arrived at the port at the same time as him, but she did not leave the same house. She has not disclosed where both cars were found.

El Bribón went sailing at 1:04 p.m. and during the 40 minutes he remained on the jetty, many acquaintances and friends took the opportunity to greet him and even take photos with him, and also with the Infanta. When El Bribón dropped anchor, they greeted him from the jetty: "Juan Carlos", followed by applause.

Minutes before, the Infanta Elena had left. She got on the auxiliary boat of the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo, Cristina, to be able to follow the regatta at close range. When she boarded, at a point closer to the curious who were witnessing the scene, she applauded while they called her name to greet her.

Father and daughter arrived at port after almost four hours of navigation. Thus, minutes after 5:00 p.m., the former monarch's boat has entered the marina towed by the auxiliary. In this way, Juan Carlos I has come down from Bribón and has gotten into Pedro Campos' car.

Then, after 5:20 p.m., he left the marina directly, together with the Infanta Elena, in the direction of Nanín, where the house of his personal friend is located.

Throughout the morning, the atmosphere was one of great expectation in the Náutico. At 11:00 in the morning there were already dozens of people stationed on the jetty and saving a place from which to see the Bribón directly, so as not to miss any detail of the monarch's presence and his departure to haggle.

All with mobile phones in hand, the curious who came to the port took multiple photos and videos, and many took the opportunity to make calls to family and friends telling them the minute and result. "Here, waiting for the emeritus", was the phrase that was heard the most, from people from all over Spain who, coinciding with their summer vacation in Sanxenxo, did not want to miss the moment.

"This is what shows that there are more people who like the Monarchy than those who don't," commented a tourist while pushing a cart, alluding to the people who declared themselves "monarchists" and "juancarlistas" while they waited.
