Erfurt (dpa/th) - A 49-year-old tried to attack a supermarket in Erfurt. The man spoke to the cashier on Saturday and gave the impression of having a gun in his jacket pocket, police said. Instead of handing him cash, however, the employee called for help and the man from Erfurt fled the shop.
The officers who were called were able to put the man down shortly thereafter. A weapon was not found on him. The 49-year-old was released again. Instead of the required cash, he now has a complaint about attempted robbery in his luggage.
