Erfurt (dpa/th) - After an uncomfortable start to the week, the weather in Thuringia is improving towards the weekend. As the German weather service announced, a change from sun and cumulus clouds is expected on Thursday. Only in the afternoon there may be isolated showers in some areas, some of which will be accompanied by sleet and isolated thunderstorms. A light wind from the south ensures temperatures between 13 and 15 degrees. It gets a little cooler in the mountains, with temperatures between 9 and 13 degrees.
In the night to Friday there may be patches of fog in some areas. Temperatures drop to a cool 4 to 1 degree. According to the German Weather Service, Friday should start with lots of sunshine, and light cumulus clouds are expected towards the afternoon. Accordingly, the temperatures for the weekend rise again up to 17 degrees.
