Bad Langensalza/Erfurt (dpa/th) - There was willful damage to the citizens' office of the Thuringian CDU state chairman and member of the Bundestag Christian Hirte in Bad Langensalza. The CDU state association announced on Friday in Erfurt that glass signs had been smashed in the entrance area. The damage to property was reported to the police.
"Anyone who damages or smears the offices of members of parliament and parties lacks the arguments. Violence is not a form of political debate," explained Hirte. According to the party, the office area is also used by the CDU Bad Langensalza.
In Thuringia there has been repeated vandalism and attacks on MPs and party offices in the past. Almost all parties have already been affected.
