Erfurt (dpa/th) - Marie-Luise Leonhardt-Feijen was awarded this year's art prize at the "artthuer" fair. Thuringia's Minister of Culture Benjamin-Immanuel Hoff (left) handed over the prize, which is worth 5,000 euros, on Saturday, according to a spokeswoman for his ministry. Leonhardt-Feijen has been working in graphics for more than four decades, according to a letter from the jury. She praised Leonhardt-Feijen's unorthodox use of various techniques.
The art fair was canceled in 2021 due to the corona pandemic. Hoff said many people are happy that they are back. "And it's also the most important art fair we have in Central Germany."
