Erfurt (dpa/th) - The people of Thuringia can look forward to a golden October day with lots of sunshine on Monday. As the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Monday, a clear day with very mild temperatures between 22 and 26 degrees is expected. A weak north-west wind ensures slightly cooler temperatures of between 18 and 21 degrees in the mountains. Local fog patches may occur near the river in the morning.
More and more clouds will gather on Tuesday night. According to the DWD, the first rain showers begin in north-west Thuringia after midnight. The temperatures are between 14 and 11 degrees.
Tuesday starts cloudy and people should pack their umbrellas. Heavy rain showers are already expected in the morning, which should only break up in the evening. The temperatures are between 17 and 19 degrees, in the mountains between 13 and 16 degrees.
