According to the Ministry of the Interior on Sunday, 39.42% participated in the first round of the legislative election. This is 1.3 less than 2017's 40.75%.
It is also lower than the 48.31% of the 2012 legislative election and the 65% of the first round in the 2022 presidential elections.
However, participation is higher than the 2021 5 p.m. regional and departmental elections (26.7%). It is also equivalent to the turnout in 2020 municipal elections (38%).
Lot was the department with the highest number of votes at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday (52.4%), ahead of Pyrenees-Atlantiques (50.4), Haute-Vienne (48.0), Dordogne (46.6), and Cantal (48.1).
With 27.7%, Seine-Saint-Denis had the lowest turnout.
