United States: a man robs a grocery store with… a Nintendo gun

A totally failed robbery. In South Carolina, a 25-year-old man was arrested after attempting to rob a convenience store on Tuesday May 30 using a fake gun designed for a Nintendo video game. David Joseph Dalesandro robbed the grocery store in Sharon, a small town in northwestern South Carolina, using a gun used in the game Duck Hunt, released in 1985 in the United States, reports the media American CNN.

According to witnesses cited by a sheriff's office press release, David Joseph Dalesandro entered the facility wearing a wig, hoodie and mask. He then allegedly asked for about $300 at the checkout pointing to the dummy gun he was wearing on his belt.

Sheriff's deputies found the young man in the parking lot of a store not far from the scene of the robbery. Still equipped with his pistol, he was arrested and placed behind bars. He is charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon and larceny.
