Udo Jürgens is one of the most famous German singers and composers. He composed around 1000 songs and sold over 100 million records. A new album by the musician, who died in 2014, is due to be released in December. The album consists of three CDs, according to the agency.

Fans of Udo Jürgens can look forward to new, previously unreleased variants of individual songs by the singer and composer. The album "da capo, Udo Jürgens - Stations of a World Career" will be released on December 16, as announced by Sony Music and Udo Jürgens Master AG as the owner of the master rights.

The album consists of three CDs and contains "in addition to the great classics, unreleased song variants, rare live versions and songs that were previously not available digitally," it said. It has not yet been announced which titles it was.

Jürgens died in Switzerland in 2014 at the age of 80 and was born in Klagenfurt. He is one of the most important German-speaking singers and songwriters of the 20th century ("Merci Chérie", "Greek Wine", "I've Never Been to New York"). In his career he has composed around 1000 songs, released over 50 albums and sold more than 105 million records.
